Residence Hall Router Replacement

The residence hall routers will be updated between 5:30 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Thursday, August 8. All residence hall buildings (see Affected Buildings below) will experience outages during the maintenance window.

All wired and wireless networks across all residence hall buildings (see Affected Buildings below) will experience outages between 5:30 and 7 a.m. on August 8.

VPN - Cisco Secure Client Upgrade and Name Change

Update on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 3:15 p.m.: The campus VPN client upgrade has started early for Windows computers managed by Dedicated Desktop Support and Windows secure computers purchased through Marketplace. Users will experience a VPN disconnection and will need to manually reconnect to the new client, which is now called Cisco Secure Client.

Network Down at 1135 Broadway

Service Restored on 7/30/2024 at 7:29 PM: 1135 Broadway's fiber has been fixed by the vendor and is now back to operational. All services have been restored.

Service Issue Updated on 7/30/2024 at 10:15 AM: Lumen has sent a service tech to meet on-site at 10:30 this morning to diagnose the circuit issues. No ETR at this time. Will update when further information is available.

Campus Contact Centers

Service Restored at 9:30 AM on 7/25/2024: OIT has resolved the issue. Calls to campus contact centers are now working as expected. 

Service Issue Reported at 9:20 AM on 7/25/2024: OIT is aware of an issue impacting campus contact centers. Currently callers will receive a busy signal when attempting to call a campus contact center. OIT is working to resolve the issue.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, July 21. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

External Incoming/Outgoing Calls

Service Restored on 7/10/2024 at 1:16 PM: Incoming/Outgoing calls are now working as expected. 

Service Issue Reported at 11:20 AM on 7/10/2024: OIT is aware of an issue impacting outgoing and incoming calls from external phone numbers to campus numbers. Currently external calls will result in a busy signal. OIT's Voice Services Team is investigating the issue.
