Accessibility Considerations
Google Groups allows you to create and participate in online forums and email-based groups with a rich experience for community conversations. At CU Boulder, Google Groups have, to date, been primarily used as an alternative for mailing lists.
Google Groups browser interface has the following features and options that are useful for screen readers:
- Keyboard shortcuts. To open a list of keyboard shortcuts while using Google Groups, press the question mark key (?).
- ARIA hints on important screen elements.
Google recommends using the screen reader ChromeVox, an extension for the Google Chrome browser, when interacting with the Google Groups user interface.
