System and Cloud Administration

Virtual Server Icon

CU Boulder Private Cloud

Base Virtual Server $105 / month
  • Complete Windows or Linux System Administration support for a virtual server in the OIT private cloud.
  • The base server includes: 1 CPU, 2GB memory, 100GB of storage.
  • Incident Support during business hours (7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday) and system backups are included.
  • Up to 4 hours of system build time is included with each new server build. After initial 4 hours, the consulting rate will apply (estimates provided).
  • A consulting rate will apply for any additional services not included in Linux/Windows System Administration (estimates provided)
Add 24x7 Incident Support to your server $20 / month

This option increases the 7:00 am - 6:00 pm support to 24x7 support.

VM CPU $65 per CPU / month  
VM Memory $5 per GB / month  
VM Storage $0.20 per GB / month VM Storage includes backups.

Phys Administration Icon

Physical Servers

Base Physical Server $275 / month
  • Windows or Linux System Administration support on customer owned hardware.
  • A valid vendor support contract is required, and the server is required to be hosted in one of OIT's datacenters.
  • Incident Support during business hours (7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Monday - Friday) is included.
  • Up to 4 hours of system build time is included with each new server build. After initial 4 hours the consulting rate will apply (estimates provided).
  • A consulting rate will apply for any additional services not included in Linux/Windows System Administration (estimates provided)
  • Backup Service available for $0.10 / GB / month

Requirements for 24x7 support of physical hardware (not VM) systems include:

  • Located in an OIT managed data center
  • Under a hardware support contract (warranty)
  • A RAC (remote access card) of some kind must be available with credentials known to SE to gain console and power control remotely

Consulting Icon

Consulting

Consulting services $90 / hour Consulting during regular hours (7:00 am to 6:00 pm, M-F) for work to be scheduled within our normal workload, billed in 30 minute increments.
After hours Consulting $180 / hour Consulting and support after hours (6:00 pm - 7:00 am, M-F, all hours on weekends) or work that requires expediting (emergency work), billed in 60 minute increments.

Redirect Hosting $10 / month for each redirect path to path redirects for any internal or external destination URL.
