Approved Domains
To accommodate faculty and staff members who work with national labs and other campuses or organizations, the university has made arrangements to allow the use of the domains below as a delivery location for campus email:

CU employees have a legal obligation to maintain and/or make available electronic information in the event of litigation, subpoena, court order, open records request, or other legal requests, as described in CU's records retention policy (APS #2006).
To have your CU Boulder email delivered to one of these domains, contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 or oithelp@colorado.edu.
Unapproved Domains
If you wish to forward your email to a domain that is not on the list of approved domains, follow these steps to request a delivery location exception:
- Review CU's records retention policy (APS #2006).
- If you feel that using any CU email account is unacceptable in fulfilling your academic or research duties, please contact your director or department chair.
- If, after discussing the problem with your director or department chair, you both feel that using a CU Boulder email account is unacceptable in fulfilling your academic or research duties, complete the certificate of receipt. Submit the completed form, signed by both you and your director or department chair, to CU Boulder's IT Security team via campus mail (455 UCB), fax (303-735-5036) or email (security@colorado.edu).
- If your request is approved, OIT will direct all messages sent to your @colorado.edu email address to the alternate address you specified.
