Meera Bipin (she/her) joined OIT’s User Experience team in May 2026 as a Student Assistant UX Researcher. She is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science with minors in Creative Technology and Design, and Business, as well as a Certificate in Engineering Leadership at CU Boulder. She is expected to graduate in May 2029.
Meera was first introduced to the User Experience field in High School when working on her Girl Scout Gold Award project. For her project, she created a Stroke Awareness website that included basic information regarding strokes and local resources that users could access. As a part of this process, she conducted her own research, consulted with medical professionals, and created the design, layout, and overall user experience for the website. Through this process, she prioritized making sure the information was reliable, accessible and also aesthetically pleasing. This truly sparked her interest in User Experience and motivated her to pursue Computer Science and Creative Technology and Design.
As a part of the UX Team with OIT, Meera looks forward to working alongside the team’s researchers and designers to create easily accessible platforms and support the team's UX research, content and design work.
Outside of school and work, Meera is on CU Abhinaya, the Indian Classical Dance Team at CU Boulder, is the Director of Engagement with the CU Engineering Council and is an active member of the Society of Women Engineers. She enjoys doing crafts, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her friends and family.
