The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade which will make it unavailable from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 10. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.

Service Restored at 12:30 PM on 7/9/2024: After investigation, OIT determined the issue was not with the border firewall, but rather was related to external Internet Service Provider (ISP) services. OIT has confirmed that it appears the issue has been resolved and there is no further impact to the VPN or OIT services.

Firewall maintenance

The campus network will undergo an update between 6 and 6:30 p.m. on Monday, July 1. On-premise campus multicast will experience short disruptions during the maintenance window. The work being done during the maintenance window is required to address a performance issue with the border firewall.

Impact

On premise network traffic with multicast dependencies will experience disruptions during the maintenance window.

Impact

From 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 27, all network traffic to and from the campus will experience an interruption for up to 60 minutes. This may result in the need to reconnect to services if they do not automatically reconnect. On-campus network traffic between on-campus machines should not be affected by this maintenance.

Service Restored on 7/3/2024 at 12:00PM: After working with the vendor OIT has identified the root cause of the issue and has implemented a solution. All services have returned to their normal state. If you continue to experience issues please contact OIT for assistance. 

Service Issue Updated on 6/28/2024 at 5:00 PM: The border firewall is now stable but running in a non-redundant state. OIT's networking team will continue work on a permanent resolution, assessing proposed changes for risk.

OIT Website Page load issues

The OIT website (oit.colorado.edu) is having intermittent page load issues. A case has been opened with the service provider and investigating how to address the issue.

Firewall Upgrade - SPSC Data Center

The SPSC Data Center firewall will undergo maintenance between 6 and 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 27. The work being done during the maintenance window is required due to an end of life cycle of the current firewall. OIT has taken extensive steps to minimize overall impact, but service disruptions may be experienced during the maintenance window to online services that are dependent on the SPSC firewall.
