The CCDC firewall will undergo a reboot between 6 and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 3. The work being done during the maintenance window is required to address a security issue. 

Impact

No outage is expected during the reboot, but it’s possible that the firewall may experience a brief disruption during the maintenance window. Voice and Wireless networks will not be affected. If you experience an issue after the maintenance is completed, please restart your device and try to reconnect.

The residence halls firewall will undergo an emergency reboot between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 28. The work being done during the maintenance window is required to address a security issue.

Campus domain controllers will be updated on Thursday, March 28 from 5 - 6 p.m. This will only impact systems dependent upon domain controllers.

Impact

There is no expected service impact, however, querying a domain controller during the maintenance window could cause a delay in authentication.

Wi-Fi connectivity will be unavailable in multiple campus buildings (see Affected Buildings below) between 6 and 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 28, while the Wi-Fi controller software is updated. This update is necessary to fix bugs.

Wireless services, including UCB Wireless, UCB Guest, and eduroam, will be unavailable in a number of campus buildings (see Affected Buildings below) for up to an hour between 6 and 7 a.m. on Thursday, March 28.

Service Restored at 11:35 AM on 3/25/2024: OIT has resolved the issue impacting new users ability to register and use Duo. If you have been unable to authenticate with Duo please try again. If you continue to experience issues accessing Duo please contact the IT Service Center for assistance. 

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 24. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Service Restored at 11:04 AM on 3/20/2024: Access to the Touchpoint Contact Center Application has been restored. Campus call centers should be available to take calls again.

Service Restored at 7:30 AM on 3/24/2024: Jamf Pro, the service powering Secure Computing for Apple Devices has been restored.
