Restoration of missing DocuSign messages

Service Restored on 5/16/2024 at 2:50 PM: DocuSign messages delivered between 4/15/2024 and 5/14/2024 that were inadvertently removed from users inboxes were restored earlier this morning. Because restored messages appear as new deliveries this may result in a significant quantity of previously received DocuSign messages appearing in users inboxes, particularly for frequent users of DocuSign.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 19. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Firewall Upgrade - Data Centers and Residence Halls

The Computing Center Data Center, SPSC Data Center, and Residence halls firewalls will undergo maintenance between 6 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14. The work being done during the maintenance window is required to upgrade the software version of the firewall. 

Impact

The firewall will experience two brief disruptions during the maintenance window between 6 and 7 a.m. on Tuesday, May 14. Voice and Wireless networks will not be affected. If you experience an issue after the maintenance is completed, please restart your device and try to reconnect.

Domain Controller Maintenance

Campus domain controllers will be updated on Monday, May 13 from 5 - 5:30 p.m. This will only impact systems dependent upon domain controllers.

Impact

There is no expected service impact, however, querying a domain controller during the maintenance window could cause a delay in authentication.

Buff Portal and MyCUInfo Unavailable

Service Restored on 5/2/2024 at 4:00 PM: UIS has addressed the root cause and service has been restored.

Service Issue Reported on 5/2/2024 at 3:00 PM: Buff Portal and MyCUInfo are currently experiencing a disruption in service. The team at University Information Systems (UIS) is actively working towards resolving the issue. The Office of Information Technology (OIT) will provide ongoing updates as more information becomes available from UIS regarding this Service Alert.

VPN Services Emergency Upgrade

Update at 3:12 p.m. on 4/24/24: The maintenance window has been extended to 5 p.m. During this time you may experience difficulty making a new connection to the Cisco Secure Mobility VPN Client. Those already connected should not experience a disconnection. We appreciate your patience as we make this upgrade.

Network Terminal Down in HFOC

Service Restored on 4/18/2024 at 10:16 AM: OIT is reporting that the Network Terminal hfoc-215-u5270 is back in service. The fiber error has been cleared.

Service Issue Reported on 4/18/2024 at 8:48 AM: OIT is reporting an outage in the Network Terminal hfoc-215-u5270. This is impacting the 2nd floor of the HFOC building for all wired and wireless connections. OIT will continue to monitor the situation and post updates.
