As part of the Mail Security Upgrade project, improvements will be made to the Active Directory service between 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 18 and 10:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 25. This will allow OIT to retire the Ironports later this summer.
The Engineering firewalls will undergo an upgrade between 6:00 and 6:30 a.m. on Thursday, May 25. This will cause a network outage for subnets behind the ENGR/ENGR2/PHYS for up to 30 minutes in buildings listed below. The work being done during the maintenance window is required to improve performance and address known issues. Please note: The date of this change was originally May 18.
The Grouper access management service, accessed at mygroups.colorado.edu, will undergo an upgrade on Tuesday, May 16. The upgrade will improve security of the service, but will require admin users to log in with MFA through Duo.
Facilities management will be performing power equipment maintenance in J.S. Caruthers Biotech Building (BIOT) starting on from 6:30 p.m. until 11:59 p.m., on Tuesday, May 16 and Wednesday, May 17 (No work will be done during business hours). There is no expected impact during the maintenance window, and facilities has planned ahead so that network equipment will not be without power during the maintenance window.
UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 13. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).
The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade which will make it unavailable from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 10. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.
