Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 19. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Enterprise Database (multiple services impacted)

The production Enterprise Database (EDB) service will undergo maintenance between 8 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 18. This will impact services that are dependent upon the Enterprise Database, including the Federated Identity Service and services that rely on it for logins such as MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, Canvas, and many more (see Impact and Affected Services below). The work being done during the maintenance will improve security, stability and functionality of the EDB.

Campus DNS Servers

Campus DNS will undergo maintenance between 7 and 8 a.m. on Wednesday, March 8. The work being done during the maintenance will improve function of campus servers in the case of outages or other interruptions on campus.

Impact

There should be no service impact, however, if you manage a DNS Server on campus and notice a degradation in service after the maintenance window, please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 or oithelp@colorado.edu.

OnTheHub Webstore Restored

Service Restored at 12:23 PM on 3/6/2023: OnTheHub website has been restored and is now accessible. 

Service Issue Reported at 10:24 AM on 3/6/2023: OIT is aware of an issue impacting access to colorado.onthehub.com. OIT has engaged the vendor and is working to restore access.

UCB Files

Service Restored at 11:30 AM on 3/6/2023: OIT has resolved the issue impacting UCB Files. Customers are able to access their files again. 

Service Issue reported at 10:15 AM on 3/6/2023: OIT is aware of an issue impacting the UCB file service. Currently customers cannot access their files and may get an error message when attempting to do so. OIT is troubleshooting the issue.

Network in West District Energy Plant is down

Issue Resolved at 10:50 AM on 03/02/2023: Networks in WDEP are back online. Electrical work will continue throughout the day.

Issue Reported at 09:03 AM on 03/02/2023: The wired and wireless networks in the West District Energy Plant (WDEP) are down. OIT is investigating.

Federated Identity Service (Logins to SSO services)

The Federated Identity Service will undergo maintenance from 12 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2. During the maintenance window, web services that rely on the IdentiKey single sign-on (SSO) authentication provided by the Federated Identity Service (see Affected Services below) should be available, but may require re-authentication.

Impact

During the maintenance window, from 12 to 4 p.m. on Thursday, March 2, web services that have SSO authentication provided by the Federated Identity Service may require users to log in again after the maintenance is completed.

Buff Portal Unavailable

Service Restored at 1:35 p.m. on 2/24/23: Buff Portal emergency maintenance to resolve the issue is complete. Buff Portal service is now available.

Update at 11:55 a.m. on 2/24/23: Buff Portal will be unavailable from 1-1:45 p.m. MST today to resolve the issue that started early this morning. An update will be posted to this service alert when the emergency maintenance is complete.

VPN Services

The campus VPN service will undergo maintenance to upgrade server certificates from 7 - 7:30 a.m. on Friday, February 24. 

Impact

There is no expected impact to existing connections, but there is a chance that current connections may need to reconnect after the upgrade is complete.

Service Restored at 4:44 PM on 2/16/2023: The issue with the network connection to OIM has been resolved. Impacted OIT services (Aurora.colorado.edu and Identikey.colorado.edu) have been restored.

Service Issue Reported at 3:23 PM on 2/16/2023: OIT is aware of an issue with a network connection to a backend service (OIM) that is impacting multiple OIT services including our request form portal (Aurora.colorado.edu) as well as Identikey.colorado.edu. OIT is working to troubleshoot the issue.
