MAINTENANCE DELAYED - Enterprise Database (multiple services impacted)

UPDATE on 11/15/24: The Enterprise Database (EDB) maintenance has been delayed. The rescheduled maintenance window will be communicated as soon as it is determined.


The production Enterprise Database (EDB) service will undergo maintenance between 7 a.m. and noon on Saturday, Nov. 16. This will impact services that are dependent upon the EDB, including the Federated Identity Service and services that rely on it for logins. This maintenance is required to ensure continued database security, stability and functionality.

New account creation is currently not working in Qualtrics

Service Restored at 12:15 PM on 11/12/2024: OIT has received conformation from the vendor that the issue impacting Qualtrics new account creation has been resolved. 

Service Issue Reported at 2:35 PM on 11/11/2024: OIT is aware of an issue where new account creation is currently not working in Qualtrics. OIT is working with the vendor to resolve the issue.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 17.

Impact

During the maintenance window, Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services will be unavailable (see Unavailable Services below). There will also be a delay in campus IdentiKey provisioning.

AudioCodes wall and conference phones are offline

Service Restored at 12:50 PM on 11/06/2024: AudioCodes (405HD) wall phones and RX50 conference phones are registering, as well as completing inbound and outbound calls. 

Service Issue Updated at 04:52 PM on 11/04/2024: AudioCodes (405HD) wall phones and RX50 conference phones are registering now, with the ability to complete inbound and outbound calls. OIT is still awaiting an official vendor update.

Classroom Capture (Mediasite) experiencing video channel & playback issues

Service Restored at 10:40 AM on 11/4/2024: OIT has confirmed the issue is resolved and Classroom Capture (Mediasite) is functioning as expected.

Service Issue Reported at 10:04 AM on 11/4/2024: OIT is aware that Classroom Capture (Mediasite) is experiencing video channel & playback issues. The vendor has been engaged.

Classroom Capture (Mediasite)

Service Restored at 8:55 AM on 10/29/2024: OIT has confirmed the issue impacting Classroom Capture (Mediasite) has been resolved. Students and instructors are able to view recordings again. 

Service Issue Reported at 1:27 PM on 10/28/2024: OIT is aware that Classroom Capture (Mediasite) is currently down. The vendor has been engaged and we are working to resolve the issue. Scheduled recordings are still being recorded but users are unable to view recordings.

Emergency UCB Wireless update

OIT will perform emergency maintenance on the Network Access Control (NAC) system servicing UCB Wireless between 7 and 7:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 25. The vendor recommends this update to resolve the recent UCB Wireless issues.

Impact

During the maintenance window, UCB Wireless will be unavailable. UCB Guest and Eduroam will not be affected.

SPSC Data Center Firewall Upgrade

The Space Science Center (SPSC) data center firewalls will undergo maintenance from 7 to 8 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 30. This maintenance is necessary to upgrade the software version and activate a new feature.

Impact

During the maintenance window, network traffic will experience two brief outages of 5–10 seconds. Voice and Wireless networks will not be affected. If you experience any issues after maintenance is complete, please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357.
