Enterprise Database (multiple services impacted)

The production Enterprise Database (EDB) service will undergo maintenance between 6 a.m. and 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 20. This will impact services that are dependent upon the Enterprise Database, including the Federated Identity Service and services that rely on it for logins such as MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, Canvas, and many more (see Impact and Affected Services below). The work being done during the maintenance will improve security, stability and functionality of the EDB.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 20. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo and Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

ServiceNow Outbound Emails Failing

Service Restored at 11:34 AM on 11/14/2022: The issue with outbound emails failing and queuing has been resolved. All failed emails have been reprocessed and sent out of ServiceNow.

Service Issue Reported at 10:57 AM on 11/14/2022: OIT is aware of an issue with outbound emails from our Service Management Tool ServiceNow. Currently emails are being queued but not sent. We are investigating the issue.

iClicker Performance Issues

InfoEd Electronic Research Administration system (eRA)

UIS will upgrade the Electronic Research Administration system (eRA) from 5 p.m. on Friday, November 11, to 5 p.m. on Sunday, November 13. During this maintenance window, eRA will be unavailable. This routine maintenance is necessary to upgrade eRA to a new version.

The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade which will make it unavailable from  4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.

Impact

Jira will be unavailable for up to two hours during the maintenance window, 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9.
