Domain Controller Firewall Rules (SMB1)
Between 9 and 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 24, campus domain controllers will be updated to deny access to systems that rely on the SMB1 protocol, which is obsolete and less secure than the current SMB versions used on campus.
Impact
During the maintenance window, users may experience delayed authentication of domain controller queries.
After maintenance is complete, if you notice that an application has started timing out when connecting to the campus network, please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357.

Zoom Outage
Service Restored at 2:55 PM on 4/16/2025: OIT has confirmed the issue impacting Zoom meetings and the Zoom web portal has been resolved. Users should now be able to access Zoom again.

Apple enrollment and Self Service down for CU Boulder Secure computing devices.
Service Restored at 7:30 a.m. on 4/16/2025: The issue with Jamf Cloud has been resolved. Enrollment for Secure Computing and Self Service are now back online.
Service Issue Reported at 3:32 p.m. on 4/15/25: OIT is aware of an issue with Jamf Cloud affecting enrollment and access to self service functionality for CU Boulder Secure Computing devices running on macOS, iPadOS, and iOS. OIT is engaged with the vendor for investigation and are working to resolve the issue.

Google’s Gemini Chat and NotebookLM tools now available to campus
Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals
UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to noon on Sunday, April 20.
Impact
During the maintenance window, Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services will be unavailable (see Unavailable Services below). There will also be a delay in campus IdentiKey provisioning.

Jira is Currently Unavailable

HPCF Data Center Outage
