The campus border routers in the Computing Center and INFO building will undergo a code upgrade between 6:30 and 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, March 27.

Impact

During the maintenance window, users may experience a few seconds of packet loss as network traffic reroutes during each upgrade.

The F5 hardware in the SPSC will undergo maintenance between 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 26. This maintenance is required to update the hardware to a new version. 

Impact

Services dependent on the current F5 hardware are not expected to be affected by this upgrade, but may experience a brief degradation in service during the maintenance window.

The HERM and ENGR firewalls will undergo maintenance between 6 and 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 27. This maintenance is required to upgrade the software version of the firewall.

Impact

During the maintenance window, wired networks behind the firewall will experience a loss of connectivity. Voice and wireless networks will not be affected. If you experience an issue after the maintenance is completed, please restart your device and try to reconnect.

The campus network will undergo maintenance during the following periods:

• Monday, March 24, 5–7:30 a.m.
• Tuesday, March 25, 5–7:30 a.m.
• Tuesday, March 25, 11 p.m.–4 a.m.

This maintenance is required to upgrade the campus network's operating system.

Impact

During each maintenance period, campus wired and wireless networks will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes. Data center networks will not be affected.

Service Restored on 3/17/2025 at 8:00 AM: Kobl-344-u6055 has been restored and networks should be working as intended.

Service Alert Issued on 3/15/2025 at 2:34 PM: Kobl-344-u6055 is reporting down, causing a limited network outage in Kobl-344. OIT will investigate and restore by 8:00am Monday.

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 16.

Impact

During the maintenance window, Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services will be unavailable (see Unavailable Services below). There will also be a delay in campus IdentiKey provisioning.

The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade that will make it unavailable from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, March 12. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.

Jira will be unavailable during the maintenance window.
