Issue Resolved on 11/02/21 at 2PM: CARL Gym is back online. All services restored.

 

Issue Reported on 11/02/21 at 11AM: All of CARL Gym building is reporting down. Networking is investigating cause of outage and will update once they have determined the issue.

Service Issue Restored on 11/02/2021 at 11:20 am: Users were able to open files in the Excel desktop app. This issue affected new Excel sessions only; existing sessions were not affected. 

Vendor reverted the offending change and monitored the service to confirm that this has resolved the problem. Users may need to refresh their web browser or restart their app to see resolution.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will apply critical patches to enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. (noon) on Saturday, October 30. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, MyCUBoulder and Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below).

Resolved on 10/20/21 at 3:30PM: The LMS Manager application functionality has been restored

Reported on 10/20/21 at 2:30PM: Due to unexpected maintenance, the LMS Manager application will be briefly going offline from about 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM. Users will not be able to submit grades or request new courses during this time.

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 24. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, MyCUBoulder and Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Enterprise Database (multiple services impacted)

The production Enterprise Database (EDB) service will undergo maintenance between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Sunday, October 24. This will impact services that are dependent upon the Enterprise Database, including the Federated Identity Service and services that rely on it for logins such as MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, Canvas, and many more (see Impact and Affected Services below). This maintenance is necessary to patch the database environment.

containers.colorado.edu

The Containers service (containers.colorado.edu) will undergo an upgrade from 12 pm (noon) to 2 pm on Wednesday, October 20. During this window, the OKD instance powering containers01 will be upgraded in place bringing general security and usability improvements to the Containers service.

Impact

It is suggested that direct users of containers.colorado.edu not make changes to their production workloads during this window (noon to 2 pm). There should be no impact to downstream users of applications hosted by the Containers service.

Wi-Fi in Multiple Buildings

Wi-Fi connectivity will be unavailable in many residence halls and other Housing buildings (see Affected Buildings) from 6 am to 7:30 am on Thursday, October 21, while software is updated on the RES Wi-Fi controller. This update is necessary to fix bugs and address security advisories.
