Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals

UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, November 21. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, MyCUBoulder and Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Residence Hall Networks

Update at 7:22 am: Maintenance is complete and services have been tested and verified.

The updating of network switches will make wired and wireless networks, including VoIP phones, unavailable for 15 to 30 minutes in residence halls (see Affected Buildings below) between 5 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. on Monday, November 22. This maintenance is necessary to install new code to improve security and fix bugs.

Microsoft multi-factor authentication (MFA) registration deadline for employees

OIT opened up an enrollment period for all CU Boulder employees to register a device for Microsoft multi-factor authentication on Office365 beginning 11/02/2021. Those employees have a registration deadline between 11/16/2021 and 11/18/2021. You should have received an email with your registration deadline between October 26 and 28. Anyone who has not registered by the deadline will not be able to access their CU Boulder Office365 account until they register a device.

Some multi-function copier/printers on campus are unable to send to email

Issue resolved on 11/10/21 at 10AM: The issue has now been resolved

Some MFD printer/copiers are failing to send to email due to use of an older security protocol. OIT is currently investigating the issue.

Users may be unable to authenticate with the on campus network

Service Restored at 5:00 pm on 11/15/2021: OIT has identified and resolved the cause of the original problem. Some users may need to register on the network once more.

Service Issue Updated at 05:47 pm on 11/09/2021: Users should be able to access internet services at this time without going through Safe connect. OIT is still investigating the cause of the original problem.

Users may experience issues accessing Microsoft 365 using Single Sign On

Service Restored at 1:44 pm on 11/09/2021: We completed rerouting traffic back to healthy infrastructure to resolve the issue. Additionally, while the autoscale progressed, we performed manual scale outs in both affected portions of underlying infrastructure. Users should now be able to access Microsoft 365 as normal.

Service Issue Updated at 9:10 am on 11/09/2021: This issue is not related to CU Boulder's implementation of MFA. According to Microsoft, this issue is affecting customers "primarily in the central region of North America."

Aurora Unavailable
