COMP & SPSC Data Center Firewalls (many services affected)
Software upgrades to the COMP and SPSC data center firewalls from 5:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, will cause service outages for many of the campus’s online services. During the maintenance window, many of the campus’s online services could become unavailable for up to 30 minutes including, but not limited to: Buff Portal, MyCUInfo, Canvas, CU Boulder IdentiKey Manager, Federated Identity Service (Fed Auth), Web Express websites and more.

The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade which will make it unavailable 4 pm to 5 pm on Wednesday, August 11. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.

Service Issue Reported at 3:42 p.m. on 7/27/21: The campus CATV and Stream2 service is currently experiencing an outage. The vendor is currently on campus working on the issue.

Enterprise Applications including Campus Solutions & Portals
UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 1. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, MyCUBoulder and Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

Dedicated Desktop Support Request Form
Service Restored at 1:20 p.m. on 7/15/21: The Dedicated Desktop Support assistance request form (https://desktopsupport.colorado.edu) is available again. The issue has been resolved.
Issue reported at 11 a.m. on 7/15/21: The Dedicated Desktop Support assistance request form (https://desktopsupport.colorado.edu) is experiencing a problem. To address the issue, OIT's web team has disabled the form. If you need to request help from your DDS technician, contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357.
