Description
Hardware and software upgrades on the campus F5 content switches will cause a brief degradation of services on Wednesday, March 27, between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. During the upgrades, affected services (see Affected Services below) will experience brief performance degradation which may require that a user log in again. These upgrades are needed to replace hardware that is nearing end-of-life.
Impact
During the hardware upgrade, a number of services will experience a brief performance degradation which may require that a user log in again.
Affected Services
The upgrade will cause two occurrences of service degradation that will last for approximately one-minute each.
Services impacted include:
- Identity Manager (cuidm.colorado.edu, ad-connector.colorado.edu, iam-mq-prod-comp.colorado.edu, iam-mq-test-comp.colorado.edu, iam-rest-prod-comp.colorado.edu, iam-rest-test-comp.colorado.edu, identikey-comp.colorado.edu, identikey-test-comp.colorado.edu, and idmdev.colorado.edu)
- Microsoft Office 365 applications, accessed through a web browser at http://office365.colorado.edu (eg. Exchange online, Office Online, Ondrive, etc.) will be briefly unavailable during the service degradation. The hardware upgrade will not affect those connecting to Office365 via https://o365coloradoedu.sharepoint.com.
- The upgrade will not affect email delivery or use of email progmras such as Outlook or Apple Mail
- OUD (oud.colorado.edu, directory-test.colorado.edu)
- Grouper (mygroups.colorado.edu, mygroups-test.colorado.edu, mygroups-test-ws-comp.colorado.edu, mygroups-ws-comp.colorado.edu)
- Web Applications (wa.colorado.edu and wadev.colorado.edu (ex. Student admits)
- Web Services (ws.colorado.edu and ws-dev.colorado.edu)
