Microsoft Software Available for No Cost
Eligible CU Boulder faculty, staff and students can download the latest versions of Microsoft 365 software at no cost. All available applications (dependent on device) may be installed on up to five computers and five mobile devices.
To install the desktop applications listed below (Windows or macOS only), log in to the Microsoft 365 Software page with your IdentiKeyUsername@colorado.edu email address and IdentiKey password.

Who can get it
Microsoft 365 desktop and mobile apps are available at no cost to eligible faculty, staff and students. For details, see Accounts & Eligibility.
- If you are unable to download Microsoft 365 apps and believe you should have access, please contact the IT Service Center at 303-735-4357 or oithelp@colorado.edu.
- Faculty (excluding faculty emeritus) and staff who retire from the university and students who graduate will lose access to Microsoft 365 apps. For details, see Accounts & Eligibility - Retirees and Accounts & Eligibility - Alumni.
How to get it
Desktop Applications
For desktop applications on Windows and macOS:
- Log in to the Microsoft 365 account portal with your IdentiKeyUsername@colorado.edu email address and IdentiKey password.
- Select Install Office to download and install the desktop apps.
- If prompted, log in again to activate the applications.
Mobile Applications
To find available applications for your mobile device, you can search for the name of the application in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. Tap on the link below to go directly to the application download location:
