Description
OIT will upgrade code on the Willard Wi-Fi controller between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9, making wired and Wi-Fi networks unavailable during this timeframe in a number of residence halls (see Affected Buildings below). This maintenance is necessary to install new code to address a bug that has been affecting Wi-Fi performance in the residence halls and HDS buildings.
Impact
The wired network, Wi-Fi networks (including UCB Wireless, UCB Guest, eduroam, UCB Fixed, all private SSIDs), and VoIP phone service will be unavailable in a number of residence halls (see Affected Buildings below) between 3 a.m. and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, January 9.
