OIT will reboot network switches in all residence halls and Housing and Dining Services (HDS) buildings between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20 making both wired and Wi-Fi networks unavailable for 10 to 20 minutes in rolling outages across these buildings. This maintenance is necessary to install new code to address a bug that has been affecting network performance in the residence halls and HDS buildings.
The wired network, Wi-Fi networks (including UCB Wireless, UCB Guest, eduroam, UCB Fixed, all private SSIDs), and VoIP phone service will be unavailable for 10 to 20 minutes in rolling outages across all residence halls and HDS buildings between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20.
