Description
The student identifier used in Canvas will change from the Unique Universal Identifier (UUID) to the Student ID (SID) on Saturday, June 2. To make this change, Canvas will be made unavailable from midnight to 2 a.m. that Saturday. Please plan accordingly. Originally, this change was scheduled to take place between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m., but this work needed to be rescheduled to accommodate changes being made by the Canvas vendor. During this time, instructors will not be able to create new Canvas or D2L courses. Following this change, you will see SIDs instead of UUIDs for all students. Learn more.
