Description

On Friday, February 9, OIT will upgrade the firmware for all Cisco 8851 phones between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm. This upgrade will make Cisco 8851 phones, including some call center phones and all computers connected to phones, unavailable for approximately five minutes while they restart. This upgrade will not affect CUPD non-emergency phones, the Facilities Management call center, or the NightRide call center. This upgrade is necessary to fix a bug that makes these phones randomly freeze.

Impact

On Friday, February 9, between 7:30 pm and 10:30 pm, Cisco 8851 phones, including call center phones and all computers connected to phones, will be unavailable for approximately five minutes while they restart. This upgrade will not affect CUPD non-emergency phones, the Facilities Management call center, or the NightRide call center.
