Description

Follow Up: Batteries were successfully replaced, but one of the new battery units (this is a large unit with 20 batteries inside) didn't come online, likely due to a defective breaker. The preventative maintenance portion of this change will be rescheduled for when the breaker is installed and the battery unit is brought online.

On Thursday, October 26, OIT will replace batteries and conduct other maintenance activities on the uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that supports network equipment (both wired and wireless) in the Center for Community (C4C). These maintenance activities, which will take place between 4:00 pm and 9:00 pm on the 26th, are not expected to interrupt network connections. However, because the backup power will be unavailable during this maintenance window, any interruption to Xcel power could impact the network in C4C.
