UIS will perform service maintenance on enterprise applications from 6 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Sunday, October 22. During this time Campus Solutions, MyCUInfo, Buff Portal, and some of the resources accessed through these services, will be unavailable (see Affected Services below). Services that are linked through the portals, but not otherwise dependent upon them, will still be accessible through direct links (see Affected Services below).

The Grouper access management service, accessed at mygroups.colorado.edu, will undergo an upgrade on Monday, October 23. The upgrade will improve security of the service and will require all users to be on CU Boulder’s VPN in order to log in and use Grouper. 

The Jira work management service will undergo an upgrade which will make it unavailable from 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, October 11. This downtime is necessary to upgrade Jira to the latest version.

UCB Wireless is a shared resource for University students, faculty, staff, and affiliates. When a new device (e.g. phone, laptop, tablet) first joins UCB wireless, users are prompted to authenticate and register their device. As part of resource optimization and University policy requirements, devices need to renew their registration annually via revisiting the UCB Captive Portal. Users who have not renewed their device’s wireless registration in the last year can expect to be prompted in a registration renewal wave occurring from now through mid-November 2023. 

Select campus firewalls will undergo testing and maintenance between 6 and 7:30 a.m. on Thursday, October 26. This will cause brief network disruptions for subnets behind the HUMN/ECON/RGNT/MUEN cluster during the maintenance window.

This change was originally scheduled for October 11.

Impact

Service Issue Restored on 10/3/2023 at 9:00 AM: iClicker reports that their service is now operational. Student iClickers and the mobile app are fully functional, although some of the data not collected on Sept 28 and 29 is still in the process of being recovered.

Service Issue Reported on 9/29/23 at 8:51 AM: OIT is aware of an intermittent outage preventing the iClicker Cloud from collecting data from physical remotes. Students using the mobile app or voting via web page appear to be unaffected. The vendor has been notified.

Service Restored at 4:43 AM on 9/27/2023: Per OIT's software team, access for SSO accounts to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro SSO is now functioning correctly via Federated ID authentication.

Service Issue Reported at 4:01 PM on 9/27/2023: OIT is aware that when signing into ArcGIS, the Federated ID service is returning the message "The request cannot be fulfilled ..."  Access for SSO accounts to ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Pro SSO is blocked.  Vendor and internal support teams are engaged.
