Description
Windows servers supported by Systems Engineering will undergo maintenance between 12 and 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, October 13. This will impact services that are dependent upon the Windows Servers. The work being done during the maintenance will address security vulnerabilities to these servers. No server downtime is required or expected.
Impact
Current operating system or software (patched Windows 7 and later) should have no problems and should not notice the change, however some newer systems may be required to update their security certificates before they are able to connect.
After the maintenance window, older systems such as Windows XP will no longer be able to connect to these servers using RSA1024 for key exchange, but may still be able to connect using other cipher mechanisms.
