Description

Two OIT-managed gateway servers, ucb-direct and ucb-gateway, will undergo maintenance between 6 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 5. This will impact people who use these two servers to connect remotely via Windows Remote Desktop Protocol to other on-campus servers. RDP connections that do not go through these servers will be unaffected. Other remote connections, such as VPN connections, will be unaffected. This maintenance is required to update security certificates on these servers. 

Impact

Users who are connected remotely via Remote Desktop Protocol through ucb-direct and ucb-gateway at the time of the change will be disconnected for approximately 10-15 minutes. Users will need to manually reconnect and re-authenticate using DUO after the maintenance is completed. New connections via these servers will not be possible during the maintenance window.
