OIT is in the midst of a project that will upgrade all network switches across campus, as part of a normal life-cycle replacement schedule, by the end of 2020. The replacements will take place on a building-by-building basis during early-morning hours, from 4 am to 7 am, to reduce the impact to network users. This will cause network outages, for both wired and Wi-Fi networks, including Cisco VoIP phones, from 30 minutes up to 160 minutes based on the number of switches to be replaced. This second phase of replacements will run from March 25 through August 19. Affected buildings will be listed on the Network Switch Upgrade project page as well as below.
