Description

Service Restored at 2:33 p.m., Feb. 1:  Oracle has just released a new update for Java 7 (update 13) that addresses the security vulnerability reported yesterday. As a result, people who use Macs can now download and install Java from www.java.com. Once Mac users complete this download and installation, they will again be able to access the campus' Juniper Network connect VPN, located at https://cuvpn.colorado.edu.

Service Issue Reported at 10:58 a.m., Jan. 31:  A security vulnerability that could be exploited is again affecting Java. Apple has just announced that they have again disabled Java in their software.

This issue directly impacts the campus' Juniper Network Connect VPN, located at https://cuvpn.colorado.edu, and as a result Macs are currently unable to connect to VPN.

We are awaiting an update from Oracle, the provider of Java, who will need to repair the vulnerability in Java. At this time, there is no workaround for Macs and Juniper VPN. We will provide more information here as soon as it becomes available.
