Description

The Office of Information Technology will upgrade a distribution router on Tuesday morning, January 8 at 5:30 a.m. making wired and wireless network services unavailable for up to 60 minutes in all residence halls and a number of housing administrative buildings including the Center for Community (C4C). This maintenance is necessary to prepare the router to support current and future network improvements.

Impact

During the upgrade all residence halls and a number of housing administrative buildings including the C4C (see Affected Buildings below) will be without wired or wireless network connectivity. This includes the ability to remotely VPN in to any departmental servers in these buildings, for approximately 60 minutes.

Affected Services

Wired & Wireless Networks, including VPN connections to servers in the affected buildings.

Affected Buildings

All Residence Halls, including Family Housing and Bear Creek, and also C4C.
