Description
The OIT-provided Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring service will be moved to a new content switch on Friday, May 9, between 10:00 p.m and midnight. During the two-hour maintenance window, the service will be unavailable for approximately 30 minutes, starting at 10:00 p.m.
Impact
For approximately 30 minutes, starting at 10:00 p.m., the Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring service will be unavailable. Email and web access clients will not be able to send or receive messages during this time; newly arriving and sent email will be queued and delivered when the service is restored.
Scope
This work is being done as part of an overall phased effort, which is anticipated to last through May, to cut over OIT services from an existing legacy Cisco content switch to a new F5 content switch. The move will provide increased stability, performance and security for our end users.Affected Services
