Adobe Creative Cloud licenses extended until July 6

Submitted by stauffeg on

In March of this year, Adobe announced that it would temporarily offer free Creative Cloud licenses to support educators and students in the transition to distance learning. These free licenses were originally set to expire May 31, 2020, but Adobe has now announced that they will extend this access until July 6, 2020. Creative Cloud licenses purchased through the university have also been extended to July 6.

Creative Cloud access will be automatically extended until the July 6 expiration date and no additional action is required of licensees. Adobe has said that there will not be another extension of their free offer.

You can still take advantage of this free Creative Cloud offer if you haven’t already. Here is how to download and activate Adobe Creative Cloud.

Adobe Creative Cloud will once again be available to all faculty and staff for university computers, and also to all students for their personal use, at the same reduced cost for the coming fiscal year. The cost is $95 per fiscal year, which runs July 1 to June 30. You can order Creative Cloud via the OIT website.

The Creative Cloud suite includes Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Illustrator, InDesign, Bridge, Dreamweaver, Audition, Flash, Acrobat, After Effects, Animate, and Fireworks. See the full list of products included. Through the full suite of Adobe CC products, students, faculty, and staff members have access to a host of creative tools for digital imaging, design, web, and video, as well as online services including free storage for files.

Don’t forget that you can learn how to use Photoshop, and many of the other Adobe CC apps, with free courses offered in LinkedIn Learning. Adobe also offers free Creative Cloud tutorials
