We’re excited to share the latest updates to Canvas and OIT-supported integrations, as well as tips and resources for setting up spring 2026 Canvas courses.
Latest updates
- iClicker: Educators using iClicker must log in to iClicker using the campus portal option with their IdentiKey username and password, and link any existing iClicker account to the campus portal by following the prompts.
- Classroom Capture: The Classroom Capture service has been enhanced with automation and Canvas integration features that improve the experience for both instructors and students. Visit the What's New with Classroom Capture page to learn more!
- Easier sharing within Canvas
- Instructors have ability to edit and manage recorded videos using My Mediasite
Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) recently published an article outlining the benefits of Classroom Capture as well as addressing faculty concerns.
- Cidi Labs: The new Cidi Labs DesignPlus sidebar is enabled. Update your content with this brief video tutorial.
- Canvas: As part of the December Canvas release, educators can now:
- Schedule the visibility of grades and feedback for individual assignments. Grades and comments can be released together or seperately.
- Create Surveys in New Quizzes. Graded and ungraded surveys are available with the option to keep submissions anonymous.

Enhance your course with these OIT-supported integrations
- Canvas Studio: Create, upload, or add YouTube video content within Canvas Studio. Videos can then easily be embedded into a canvas course.
