We are pleased to share that Marin Stanek, assistant vice chancellor for IT/ deputy CIO, has been appointed as chief information officer for the University of Colorado Boulder. On Jan. 1, she will become the university’s first woman chief information officer, succeeding Larry Levine, who is retiring after 11 years of service.

Over her twenty years with CU Boulder, Marin has established a proven track record as a leader who possesses many of the qualities required by an effective CIO. She is, of course, highly capable, talented and knowledgeable, but also possesses the steady hand and people skills the campus will rely on as it continues to address the ongoing challenges of budget cuts and demands for critical IT services that support remote and hybrid teaching and learning.
