Service Restored at 5:30 P.M. on 4/7/2022: OIT has addressed the intermittent issue with signing in to any site behind the federated Identity Service (e.g. Buff Portal, MyCUInfo, Canvas, etc...). If you continue to encounter an error when signing in, please clear the cache on your browser and try again.

OIT Private Cloud SPSC Infrastructure Maintenance

The OIT Private Cloud infrastructure hosted in the SPSC datacenter will undergo maintenance between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 24. As a part of Networking’s ACI project, the network connections serving this infrastructure need to be cut over to the new ACI 9k switches. Connections are redundant so there is no impact expected, but VMs hosted in OIT’s Private Cloud in SPSC may experience a networking disruption. 

Impact

During the maintenance window, VMs hosted in the OIT Private Cloud’s SPSC infrastructure may experience a networking disruption.

Service restored at 2:05 P.M. on 3/18/2022: OIT has resolved the issues with https://www.colorado.edu. All website content should now be available.

F5 Content Switch (multiple campus services)

Software upgrades on the campus F5 content switches will cause brief degradation of some online services on Wednesday, March 23, between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. During the upgrades, affected services (see below) could experience a brief delay in page loading that will last approximately one minute. These upgrades are needed to fix bugs and improve security.

OIM Outage Preventing Account Lookups and Updates via identikey.colorado.edu

Service Restored at 10:15 AM on 3/16/2022: OIM outage caused by database issues at CU Denver has been resolved.

Service Issue Reported at 09:09 A.M. on 3/16/2022:  The backend OIM database is unavailable. OIT is currently investigating the issue. Updates of personal information or credentials via identikey.colorado.edu, and account lookups via Aurora are impacted

F5 Content Switches (multiple services including VoiceThread, Qualtrics & PhET)

Network connection upgrades on the campus F5 content switches will cause brief degradation for a number of dependent services, including VoiceThread, Qualtrics, PhET and others, between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm on Thursday, March 17. During the upgrades, affected services (see Affected Services below) will experience approximately one-minute of degraded service which may require that a user log in again. These upgrades are needed to fix bugs and improve security.

Service Restored at 3:26 P.M. on 3/15/2022: OIT has resolved the issue with the Federated Identity Service. People may need to clear their browser cache if they are still experiencing sign in issues.
