When it comes to recording and sharing videos for asynchronous or on-demand delivery, there are both classroom-based and mobile services to meet your needs. The Classroom Capture and Personal Capture services from Mediasite are feature-rich video services that simplify the process of creating high-quality video content. And since both services are available to faculty and staff, you can use them to fulfill your teaching or administrative needs.
Classroom Capture - Mediasite
- The Classroom Capture service is available in 44 classrooms across campus, including all large lecture halls. Classroom Capture is a fully automated way to record and share lecture content which includes both in-room video as well as computer content. Once enabled, recordings automatically start, stop and upload to an online video channel where students can login to watch for supplemental or review purposes.
- To request Classroom Capture for your course please use the Classroom Capture Request Form.
- Courses that were previously recorded using the Classroom Capture service can now be reactivated and repurposed for remote learning. Just complete the Reactivate Previously Recorded Content form.
Personal Capture - My Mediasite
CU Boulder faculty and staff can create high-quality videos, screencasts and slideshows from their home or office. Personal Capture is an all-in-one solution that allows you to record, edit and share your content by pairing your presentation content with webcam video or simply a voice-over. My Mediasite does the rest. It synchronizes everything you say and show without requiring video production skills. My Mediasite offers multiple formats to engage with a viewer and audience. This includes quizzes, polls, Q&A as well as comments and annotations.
