Description
Active directory will undergo emergency maintenance starting today, Sept. 14 through Thursday, Sept. 17 each day from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. This maintenance is needed to update domain controllers to prevent future service disruptions.
There should not be an impact to the service or services that are dependent on authentication. However, if a customer or application is hardcoded to a specific domain controller there could be a potential outage for that dependent service during the maintenance.
Impact
During the maintenance windows, from 4 pm to 6 pm on Monday, Sept. 14 through Thursday, Sept. 17, there shouldn’t be an impact to the active directory or services that depend on authentication. However, there may be an outage if a customer or application is hardcoded to only look for one specific domain controller during the maintenance window.
