Supervisors: Use Lynda to Supplement Performance Plans

Submitted by stauffeg on

As you begin preparing performance plans for those you supervise, consider setting learning objectives that include courses on Lynda.com. Lynda is the perfect place to find video tutorials to do everything from learning time management fundamentals, to developing project management foundations. You might even suggest that an employee learn more about campus collaboration tools with tutorials on Google Apps or Microsoft Office 365. Of course, Lynda.com has tutorials for nearly every popular software title on the market. And if you're new to management or need to brush up on how to effectively provide or receive feedback, there are Lynda courses on that, too.

Lynda.com, which is provided free-of-charge to all CU Boulder faculty, staff and students, makes it simple to create a custom playlist of video tutorials and share it with someone. You can learn more about Lynda.com on OIT’s Lynda.com service page. If you ever have questions about Lynda.com, please contact the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu or call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone).
