With the new semester quickly approaching, it's time to prepare for your spring courses. If you're planning on using Canvas or Desire2Learn (D2L), we have some helpful tips to ease you into the new semester:
Helpful tip #1: Create your Canvas course or create your D2L course today. You can start developing your course immediately.
Helpful tip #2: Did you know you have the ability to add TAs to your course? See this tutorial on adding users in Canvas or adding users in D2L.
Helpful tip #3: TAs can only view student data, such as grades, dropbox assignments, etc., for the sections they are enrolled in. Ensure that your TAs are enrolled in the sections they should have access to. See these tutorials to assign individuals to sections in Canvas or assign individuals to sections in D2L.
Helpful tip #4: Attend a training session. We have several introductory Canvas classes and D2L classes in the coming weeks.
Helpful tip #5: Take advantage of our Canvas support resources and D2L tutorials.
Helpful tip #6: View the latest Canvas features or D2L features.
Helpful tip #7: Ensure your course documents are accessible using SensusAccess, and review our other accessibility resources, including accessible content templates. If you have an accommodation request to provide captions for your course content, you can receive assistance through CU Boulder’s captioning service.
Helpful tip #8: Visit the Start of Term Canvas FAQ or D2L FAQ for answers to the most common questions.
