Atlassian Account Changes

CU Boulder community members who utilize Atlassian cloud accounts for Jira, Trello, or Confluence may notice a change in their accounts in the next few weeks. Atlassian is transitioning its business model and will require organizations to move their on-premise instances to either an on-premise data center license or Atlassian’s cloud offering.

As a first step in this transition, OIT is verifying the domain and the cloud accounts associated with the domain. Taking this step will not change access for Atlassian Cloud Account holders, nor is OIT assuming financial responsibility for any license(s).

As a result, upon logging into Atlassian, cloud users may see a notification reading “system admin now manages your account.” This is an automatic notification that all cloud accounts created with a email address will receive. This is the first step in our transition to a cloud-based instance, and at this time no other changes or action is required for account holders.
