Microsoft Software Available for No Cost
Eligible CU Boulder faculty, staff, and students can download the latest versions of Microsoft Office 365 software at no cost. All available applications (dependent on device) may be installed on up to 5 computers and 5 mobile devices. The desktop applications (shown below) are available for download using your CULoginName@colorado.edu and IdentiKey password on the Office 365 Software page (Windows and macOS only).

Who can get it
- Office 365 Apps are available at no cost to all eligible CU Boulder faculty, staff and current students.
- Office 365 Apps are provided to employees (faculty and staff) who have specific HR appointments that correspond to what is collectively known as “knowledge workers”, or employees who need a computer to perform their work. If you are unable to download Office 365 Apps, and believe you should have access, please fill out the New Office 365 Apps License form on the OIT Messaging and Collaboration Request Portal.
- Faculty (excluding Faculty Emeritus) and staff who retire from the university will lose access to Office 365 Apps upon retirement.

How to get it
For desktop applications on Windows and macOS, open a web browser and go to the Office 365 Software page. Download and begin installing the software package. Once prompted enter your CULoginName@colorado.edu and IdentiKey password to activate the applications on your device.
