Description
The UCB Files service will be moved to new storage from 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, to 7 a.m. on Friday, January 4, making the service intermittently unavailable. During this timeframe it is very important that users of the UCB Files service not connect to the file server to save or edit files otherwise these changes could be lost. OIT recommends that UCB Files users turn off their computer before the start of the maintenance.
Impact
From 7 p.m. on Thursday, January 3, to 7 am on Friday, January 4, the UCB Files service will be intermittently unavailable. During this timeframe users of the UCB Files service may be able to see their files on the service, but be unable to open files or save files to the service. This will impact files stored in the \\ucbfiles.colorado.edu path. After the maintenance is complete, it may be necessary to restart your computer in order to connect to the service. This maintenance will not affect access to local files on your computer or file services with the names cworld, cvcn, and ebiofiles.
