Help Evaluate LMS Finalists

Submitted by stauffeg on

There are many opportunities to learn more about the learning management systems (LMS) being evaluated as a part of the LMS Evaluation and Selection Initiative.

Join us for a series of presentations on Friday, April 21. At the end of each session, you will have the opportunity to give feedback on the LMS you observed.

Teaching and Learning Focused Presentations

During these sessions, representatives from the LMS companies will give a 25-minute presentation on their user interface, from both the faculty and student views. The presentation will have a teaching and learning focus and will include information about their quiz tool, gradebook, assignment submission tool, communication tools and mobile app. After the presentation, attendees will have 25 minutes to ask the supplier questions.

General Session

Location: Visual Arts Complex Room 1B20
Friday April 21, 12:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m.

During this back-to-back session, each supplier will have 30 minutes to share key information about their LMS and answering the following questions:

  • What makes you the best fit for our faculty and students?
  • What will it be like to transition to your product or, in the case of D2L, from the old interface to the new interface?
  • Suppliers appear to be on a continuum of open source to closed source. Describe where your product and associated support is on that continuum and why it’s beneficial for us to adopt that model?
  • Company qualifications.

Request a Sandbox

Request a sandbox test course in the systems being reviewed. You can use these courses to try out the LMSs. We will ask you to complete a survey to provide us with feedback on the LMS’s ease of use and functionality.

If you have questions about either of these events, please use our Contact Us form.
