Clear the Web Browser Cache - Safari 6

Clearing a web browser’s cache can correct problems you may have using a web browser while on the CU-Boulder network or using an OIT web based program, like Desire2Learn or CULink . OIT recommends that you perform this simple step before you start to surf the Web for the first time on the campus network. The instructions below demonstrate how to clear the cache using Safari 6.

This tutorial applies to the following operating system(s):
  • MAC

Step 1

Click on the Safari drop-down menu.

Step 2

Select Preferences from the drop-down menu.

Step 3

Click the Advanced icon. 

Step 4

Click Show Develop menu in menu bar and exit. 

Step 5

Select the Develop drop-down menu. Click Empty Cache
