Conditions
The software can be used for:
- Academic teaching & learning
- Academic research
- Administrative purposes (university business)
The software can't be used for:
- Non-academic research
- Commercial purposes (for profit)
Where it can be installed
- University-owned computers
- Personally owned computers
Other conditions
- Only one user per license; a license cannot be shared
- A license may not be given to or resold to another person
Cost
- Student users pay a one-time fee of $95.
- Faculty and staff members pay a one-time fee of $195.
How to get it
The purchasing process differs based on your campus affiliation.
- Students can purchase Rhino 3D from OnTheHub. Visit OIT's OnTheHub Software Ordering page for more information and instructions.
- Faculty and staff members can purchase Rhino 3D by contacting the vendor directly at sales@mcneel.com or through the vendor's website. The preferred method for payment is to use a purchase order.
After receiving your license, you need to decide how the license will be used. There are two options:
- Float the license between multiple computers for one user by assigning it to a Rhino Account (recommended).
- Assign the license to a single computer.
