Our Kubi pilot explored how to bring remote students into class and enable them to actively participate. The ATDT implemented 10 Kubi setups, provided training, and assessed the effectiveness of Kubis in the classroom. We created technical and pedagogical documentation to support Kubi users including a Quick Start Guide for the Kubi + Zoom setup as well as Kubi Tips for the student and instructor.

The Academic Technology Design Team (ATDT) evaluates and recommends how to develop, configure, and support technologies to meet the academic needs of faculty and students. We draw upon the learning sciences, change management, and from our own user experience and design work. We assist campus administrators and faculty members in adopting and using data analytics tools for student success and in collecting and analyzing qualitative and quantitative inquiries into the lives of students. We guide and support academic departments who have formed a Departmental Action Team (DAT) to transform their teaching with technologies. And, through the Arts and Sciences Support of Education Through Technology (ASSETT) unit, we help A&S integrate technology with pedagogy to promote impactful learning.
