Service Restored at 12:00 p.m. on 8/29/24: OIT has isolated the underlying issue affecting wireless services. Internet connectivity has remained stable and OIT believes the issue is resolved. The networking team will continue to monitor the service. If you experience isolated connection issues in the future, please visit our wireless troubleshooting guide.

Service Issue Update at 3:19 p.m. on 8/27/24: OIT has implemented changes to stabilize DHCP services and internet connectivity. We will continue to monitor the situation and report on any change in behavior. We are working with the vendor on next steps for troubleshooting and plan for an update in the coming days.

Service Issue Reported at 12:30 p.m. on 8/27/24: OIT is aware of an ongoing network issue impacting users' ability to register to UCB Wireless and access the internet. At this time, we believe the issue is related to the campus DHCP servers. As such, OIT will be updating and rebooting DHCP servers throughout the day today. The rebooting of the DHCP servers is not expected to affect network access, but we believe it will resolve the connectivity issue when complete.

In the meantime, if you are experiencing an issue accessing the internet while connected to UCB Wireless, we recommend you refer to our new wireless troubleshooting guide.

We will provide an update once we have rebooted all affected servers and will keep this alert open until we have confirmed that the network has been restored to its normal state.
