Power Restored 4/7/24: Power was restored by Xcel to impacted buildings throughout the evening of Sunday, April 7. Network service has been restored to those buildings.
Power Interruption Reported at 3:52 p.m. 4/6/24: OIT is aware of Xcel Energy's preventative action to de-energize power lines. The power outage is anticipated to continue until 11 a.m. or later on April 7, 2024. OIT expects that WiFi and Wired networks will lose service in buildings affected by the power cut once the battery backup runs out. Battery backups last two hours after power is cut. However, OIT services such as IdentiKey, Portals, Canvas, Office 365, and Google will remain accessible. Should there be any updates regarding IT service issues beyond network services, this Service Alert will be revised accordingly.
