Employees Get Acrobat Pro for Free

Adobe Acrobat Pro is the premier application for creating, editing, sharing, and signing PDFs. And now Acrobat Pro is free for use on any university-owned computer at CU Boulder. Here is how to download and start using Acrobat Pro

Thanks to a recently negotiated campus enterprise license, CU Boulder faculty, staff and students can purchase Adobe Creative Cloud for only $95. An additional benefit of the license is that Acrobat Pro is free for computers purchased with university funds. And of course, Acrobat Pro is one of the many applications included if you purchase Creative Cloud which can be found in many of CU Boulder’s computing labs. Through the full suite of Adobe CC products, students, faculty, and staff members have access to a host of creative tools for digital imaging, design, web, and video, as well as online services including free storage for files.

When logging in to Adobe products, whether they are installed on your own computer or for managed devices you use such as those found in campus computer labs, you must now use your CU Boulder IdentiKey to log in.

For those who already purchased an Acrobat subscription at Adobe.com, Adobe will allow subscription cancellations for no fee or penalty. Before you cancel your subscription with Adobe, we suggest first installing Acrobat Pro through the university to assure no gap in access to the software. After installing, contact Adobe support and mention that you are an employee at the University of Colorado Boulder, and that you are provided Adobe Acrobat Pro by the university.

If you have questions about the Adobe license agreement or any of its terms, please contact the IT Service Center at help@colorado.edu or call 303-735-4357 (5-HELP from a campus phone)
