Use technology to enhance interactivity in the classroom

Submitted by jach7912 on

The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is offering a series of training sessions to help you enhance participation in your courses. iClicker and PlayPosit can increase student engagement inside and outside the classroom. Proctorio can help you better utilize the time you have in class by shifting exam time outside of regular class hours.

Intro to iClicker Cloud

This interactive training session will teach you how to set up iClicker Cloud, sync iClicker Cloud with your Canvas course, and practice creating and delivering polls. You'll also get a tour of iClicker Reef from the student’s point of view and tips to help students be successful.

Getting Started with PlayPosit:

This training is especially for CU faculty looking to get started using interactive video quizzing or revisit skills that may have lapsed. During this training, users will learn how to make their video lessons more interactive through the use of questions, discussions, and other interactions. You will learn how to set up PlayPosit, access a video, trim the video, add interactions, review and score your students’ responses, and then sync with Canvas.

Exam Proctoring with Proctorio:

In this 45-minute training session, you will learn how to add Proctorio exam proctoring to a quiz in Canvas and configure exam proctoring settings. You will get to see what a student experiences when they are taking a proctored exam and what sort of information Proctorio provides to instructors after students have taken the exam.
